The treasures I sell at Good Ju Ju are vintage and retro clothing and accessories for women and men.  My story on how I got started in the biz is quite unique.  My family owns M&M Auction House and we would get a lot of vintage clothing from estates that came to us.

How I got started in all of this is at one of our sales, I happened to walk past a box I thought had fabric in it, but when I looked closer I realized it was a box of clothes from the 1960's!  I took them home, laundred them with love, removed the mothball smell (sigh), and realized many of the dresses were MY SIZE!  The next auction I wore one of them and ran into one of our awesome patrons and Ju Ju Girl, Pam, and she said, "That's vintage!  How much of that do you have at home?"  Little did she know I had been buying the vintage clothing from estates for awhile and had a good amount; with that Curly Sue's was born!

This business inspires me to bring back a piece of the past.  It is always fun to overhear someone say, "Oh I used to have one just like that" or "I remember my grandma wearing something like that."  I also love to see ladies come in and "play dress up" with all the different clothes from the past.  I know I personally have always believed that I was supposed to be a teen in the 50's with my poodle skirt and saddle shoes, and in my 20's during the 60's wearing my A-line dreses...all of which I own today thanks to this business adventure!  I LOVE anything vintage that fits me, and I have so much fun modeling these vintage treasures during the sale!  Come on down and see me, play a little dress up, and remember as Audrey Hepburn once said, "Happy girls are the prettiest."
