Glass Cat Vintage
A mother and daughter duo bonding over a shared love of art glass and pottery, fine china and vintage furniture became Glass Cat Vintage. Mary Farley and daughter, Bridget Smaczniak, combine their unique individual tastes to create a shopping experience that offers a little bit of everything. Painted dressers, hutches and buffets, unique tiger oak and birdseye maple furniture preserved in its original beauty, Mid Century Modern tables and chairs, elegant glassware, art glass and pottery, fine china, silverplate flatware and holloware, and a sprinkling of farmhouse, country and primitive guarantees you'll find just what you're looking for at Glass Cat Vintage.
After 15 years of online selling, we wanted a more personal, hands on relationship with our buyers. Becoming vendors at Good Ju Ju was a thrill, and it has only gotten better as we develop relationships with the people we meet. We love seeing the joy on someone's face when they acquire an item that we know they are going to treasure forever.
If you were to tour our homes you'd find collections of Fenton and Blenko art glass, Van Briggle pottery, old Marcrest Daisy Dot dinnerware, Mid Century Modern furniture, and Kliban cat porcelain items. We love the idea that items our grandmothers and great-grandmothers treasured are now being embraced by another generation. Sharing information with customers about the history and value of these items is a labor of love.
While we sometimes look to DIY, HGTV and home decor magazines for inspiration, most of the time we just look at a piece until it tells us what it wants us to do. Sounds crazy, but that's how we roll. Our stuff talks to us, and we hope that in the end, it speaks to you as well.
You'll find Mary and Bridget on First Friday Weekend at Good Ju Ju in the West Bottoms.
