Road to Oz Antiques

Ann Busch - Road to Oz Antiques

I love hunting for treasure and a bargain is always exciting for me to find whether it’s a piece for my booth or a pair of new boots for the season! The thrill is in the hunt, always!

I am a woman who appreciates anything that sparkles such as the vintage glass pieces I stock; Mid Century pieces of furniture, lighting or kitchen items like Pyrex and all things kitschy; gorgeous wood and painted furniture alike; china sets. I even have an appreciation for the primitive. It is safe to say that you will find a good mix of items at the Road to Oz booth and will always find items for the kitchen!

I am a teacher by trade so love to pass on a bit of knowledge. Check the tags on my items for a bit of information special to that piece. A vintage piece may be “mint” and those are wonderful to find but I love the items that show a bit of use and love. They have true character.

My mother taught me to sew at an early age so crafting and creating décor items is also one of my passions. This is reflected in my space as well with painted furniture and seasonal items.

I personally collect vintage jewelry, Early American Pressed Glass and Wallace Nutting Prints. My favorite nostalgic memory is of ice-skating on a river creek as a young child with my parents and 5 siblings. As the youngest of 6, I had plenty of hand-me-downs and this is where I acquired my appreciation for the new and the worn.

One of my most memorable sayings comes from my mother, “If wishes were fishes the sea would be full.” I think it was her way of telling me to go out and make my dreams come true!

The energy all of the customers bring each month is contagious and I look forward to it each month. Thank you for coming! Check out the preview of my booth each month on Face Book under Road to Oz Antiques, LLC
