Sally Parades
Sally is one of the original "Ju Ju Bees" (what we call our dealers) from back when Good Ju Ju opened in 2007.
She got her start when "she knew a gal who knew a gal who was opening Good Ju Ju". She knew she had a good eye for potential product and was a long time estate sale shopper.
Sally sells hand painted antique and vintage furniture that is colorful, yet classic. She also carefully selects vintage accessories and does one-of-a-kind decoupage boxes, trays, stools and wall decor featuring vintage postcards or antique maps with scrabble tiles, creating original mixed media wall art. In short, Sally's treasures could be described as unique, creative and a good value.
Everything inspires Sally. She started out as a fine artist, so she's very interested in how colors work together. Setting up her space at Good Ju Ju is like being an interior designer. She loves that!
Her fondness (or weakness) is for unusual vintage lamps, interesting original artwork and quirky furniture pieces.
Taking something that has been trashed or discarded, and making it into something beautiful is a labor of love for Sally. Some of her ideas come from "shelter magazines" like Country Living, House Beautiful, as well as home furnishing catalogs.
